Hey, it actually -did- work
Huh, got the 'free PSP' in the mail and it actually was a PSP, with the value pack [memory stick, case, little demo disk, earphones and so on]. Very nice. Had to sign up for some surveys, a coupon site, buy a CD & some DVDs [all of which I'd have gotten sooner or later], got a Discover card & some cat stuff, but having done so, it really -did- qualify me for a PSP. Had one problem with the cat stuff not verifying properly, so I had to call them, but it did work out. Went thru the 'smart rewards' offer and it was not a terrible ordeal.
Now I have to get 'Popolocroix' for it [seeing that it has a good rating from EGM & there seems to be not a lot of rpgs for the PSP thus far]. What I'd really -like- is for Squaresoft to remake FF7 for either the PSP or the PS3. Heck, for the PSP, I'd even settle just for a re-issue. But I suppose I'll have to settle for the Vincent Vega FPS due out months from now. [sighs]
Still playing [Shin Megami Tenchi] Nocturne. Just recruited Dante in the 5th Kalpa. [Always call 'heads'] And most of the non-active group have been merged to get 'watchful', so they still get XP, even when not in the active party.
So I don't mind the heat that much today ^_^
