Hey, I voted for Bob Barr

How surprising - the last major campaign promise that the Repulican stalking horse in the White House made is going to be broken: all the Bush tax cuts get extended for another 2 years and as a side-car the 'death tax' gets set aside as well.

Bob Barr? Really? The guy responsible for blocking the federal legalization of medical marijuana? The one with the anti-abortion, pro-gun record in Congress? Former CIA analyst? Someone who went from protesting the Vietnam war in college to joining the Young Republicans? He's what kept me from voting Libertarian. The only thing good I can say about him is he opposed the bailout before it was popular to do so.

In my opinion at the time, he was the least toxic choice. They -all- were terrible, but I couldn't vote for either the Dem or the Rep. Far better to record a protest vote than leave the area blank.
