That would be me. ^_^ I like to cycle through the various information screens, zoom in and out on the map (especially when I'm the passenger and she's driving), look ahead to our next destination, pop up various POI's along the route to see what our options are, etc.
I do try to restrain myself, now that she's told me how much it irritates her. On the other hand, she's not fond of any 'beeps' at all, so there's not a lot of leeway. The ideal for her is to put the screen into one mode and leave it there for as long as she's in the car -- which means we may have to bring back all those paper maps we tossed when we got the GPS system.
On the other hand, she's not irrational about it. If I give her a good reason and some warning ("I am about to make beeps") she can cope. She just prefers not to have to.
