Someone once told me that children survive in spite of their parents. I certainly did.
I admire people who recognize that they either shouldn't or don't want to have children for the childrens' sake! I heard someone once say about such a person, "That's so selfish!" Uh, yeah, because bringing a new life into the world because someone else thinks you should is a good idea?
I won't say I'm the best mom, but I've enjoyed (enviously) seeing my daughter grow up to be the person I would have been if my parents/stepfiends hadn't been idiots and, well, downright evil. It's too bad we can't tell which are the bad ones before they start popping out pups.
On the other hand, I'm trying to picture a bunch of little Melchars running around...frighteningly cute, if you catch my meaning!
