Got a chance to drive Joan & Paul's Prius on Sunday. Very nice ride and surprisingly easy to drive. There's a dashboard indicator that shows the current gas mileage [for that time 46 mpg]. It scored high before on my 'possibles' for a new car and now it ranks even higher.

Gotta get a new car ... sometime in the next few months or year.

The spice cake for Tom's bday was well-received. The scratch frosting was great [as usual]. This time I added nutmeg to the spice blend [cinnamon & ginger this time] and I can't decide if I like that better than the ground cloves I did before. Both added good flavors.

[scratch frosting = box powdered sugar; cube softened butter, t. vanilla, 1 1/2 T ground cinnamon; 2 t. ground ginger; 1/2 t nutmeg [this time], a splash of milk [roughly 1/3 c] added whil blending to give best creamy texture. Spreading it on the cake works best with a butter knife.]

Good BASFA meeting. Chris Garcia's attempt at a fanzine was quite readable. The photos included were done well and the cover art, with it's 'welcome to hell' banner had a guy in the art who looked HELLA like Geo W Bush - and made me smile, thinking of his 'next job' as customer service receptionist in hell. Heh.

Other than that, 'Planescape: Torment' is still happily eating my brain. By far the best PC game I've ever played - and is better than even most PS2 games, for that matter. I can't believe it bombed when it first came out. It really is tons o' fun to play & to think it's sitting in Fry's bargain bins for $7.00 now.
