Apr. 14th, 2008 01:56 pmHmmm, home-made ['scratch'] frosting can be an adventure. Last week I did a semi-sweet chocolate for Tom's bday cake and it was pretty 'fluffy' and noticeably sweet [on a white cake].
I did an unsweetened chocolate frosting for Elizabeth's bday cake [yellow cake] and this frosting was almost like fudge - and while chocolate, it was not very sweet. [But then, that's how she -likes- it best, as I have learned.]
Such a minor change, but a major difference.
