Politics: 'poly' = many; 'ticks' = blood-sucking insects

I'm annoyed enough to chew metal and spit nails. But then, serves me right for listening to the political pundits this morning. [sighs]

This election is going to drive me nuts. I am getting an overall sense that people are all 'Oh we SO want change' [emote, insist] - -except- that when push comes to shove JUST WATCH them vote for the old / angry / rude / possibly demented conservative monkey because they'll 'know' what they're going to get.
