weird = email problems

It's weird, my email loads just fine [thru astragate, my isp] - but when I try to do outgoing email, I get asked for my password for the account, which is then rejected.

So I'm loading the astragate email [which is mainly spam and 3 mailing lists anyway] - and putting any outgoing email out thru my gmail account. [where I am also 'melchar' at] - JIC anyone wants to send me mail directly there.

But in case anyone is curious as to the -why- of me sending them email thru gmail, that's the why of it
