Seriously Miffed!

So when did social Darwinism become this country's philosophy?

Buried in the news today was that senators were called back to D.C. to hack down on social 'entitlement' programs. Excuse me? Those are social programs, thank you: medicine for old people; meal programs for babies; housing and education. Since when do we support multiple money-sucking war-zones on the bodies of those least able to afford it?

I'm really bugged by this

You missed the memo. In one of his famous signing statements (http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-brooks6jan06,0,4320038.column?coll=la-news-comment-opinions), Bush relabeled what you're describing as "God's will" and redefined "social darwinism" as "a party where those forsaken evolutionists and activist judges go to celebrate hurting God."

"Since when do we support multiple money-sucking war-zones on the bodies of those least able to afford it?"

Since the greedy bastards stole the last two elections.

Wake up, sheeple!

Well, until I get to be King of the Universe - or am allowed to vote more than once per voting issue - I don't think I'll be able to wake up more than I am already.

My annoyance from the news [this time] came from seeing what I thought to be a rather important story stuffed into the footnote section of the news - and not as a page 1 story.

Stole last *2* elections?

...hey, the Republicans only stole the first. ^_^
