Blue Light Special teeth

I have a temporary crown on an upper molar now. My jaw's still sore from the needles and need to hold it open during the work yesterday. Have to go back in 2 weeks to get the permanent.

Next week - and again in 3 weeks - I have to go in to get 2 fillings each time. [sighs] Only good point is that Dr. Vanier has extra skill levels in being a good dentist.

I used to be terrified of dentist. when I was 9 I had to get a root canal done on a broken tooth. The dentist was mean a horrible and hated kids. But then I went into the military and was shown what a really bad dentist can do. Now Im not scared anymore.

I had a dentist from hell as a kid [from 6-ish till 12]. He didn't 'believe' in giving kids novocaine, held me down while drilling teeth - and was later found to be a pedophile. [icky]

My extreme sympathies. In a few minutes I'm off to get the last two fillings in my current series. I thought about reviewing dentistry on Monday night, but the follow-ons could take an hour.

Yeah, crown work sucks just due to how much time you're stuck there open.

I haven't been to a dentist in a long, long time. I've never been to a good one (though I saw a great oral surgeon, once), which I suppose just adds to my loathing of even stepping into one of their offices. That and the fact that when I was like 14, my dentist filled 13 cavities, scattered all around my mouth, at the same time. He asked me if I wanted them all done, instead of my mom, and since I was a child, I said "Yeah, okay. I guess." After that, never had one who was any better. I just no longer trust them.
