new game being played

Okay, I put 'Oblivion' on hold and began playing 'Shin Megami Tensei - Digital Devil Saga'. My 'chaos mood spinner' spun/pointed, I said 'Ooo shiny' and there I went.

The game begins well - very good cinematic start. The setting has distinct echoes of 'Tron' or 'Matrix' [in a good way], the story is fairly interesting and it has a forgiving learning curve for the novice.

It uses most of the battle system from 'SMT - Nocturne' so that's a help, too. Seems like fun [in a mildly disgusting 'eat your opponents' fashion].

There are definite parts of that game which are kind of disturbing. It makes it awesome.

It definitely inspired my dreams. ^_^ Had a great one last night wherein I had several of my live gamers ** & myself in a variation of the game setting. The critters we transformed into were more fantastic than demonic - and our defeated opponents turned into Hostess snacks [ding dongs, fruit pies, twinkies] - and then fast food [hamburgers, fries and shakes].

Weird - yet tasty. ^_^ ... it was a very silly dream.

(** = I turned into a Kali analogue; Trey turned into a panda that spellcast ... SO cute; Eric (the tall strong guy you met at BASFA - was a viking, complete with horned helmet ... talk about type-casting) - one gent from my live game, Lars, actually was his half-demon Sunday game PC, Gabrielle. So much more cute than horrific.)

I need whatever you're on... I barely ever remember my dreams, and when I do, they aren't THAT fun.... -_^

Hmmm ... a steady diet of books from age 6, refereeing rpgs since 1973, computers since '86 and surrounded by goofy friends?

I always dreams in an ... odd fashion. Technicolor, Dolby stereo, full taste and scent inputs. Lots of action, intrigue, silliness, rated PG13 or R for violence, but my internal censor keeps me from getting to watch the naughty dreams I hear about others enjoying so often.

[My dreams do kisses, hugs and dramatic looks - but in an action/adventure context. Trey is amused by this.]
