gaming ^_^

Finished playing 'Final Fantasy I' on the PSP. Good gosh that is a killer final boss fight! 20,000 hp and he -heals- himself 9,999 periodically?! Wow.

So now am starting 'Final Fantasy Tactics, war of the lions' for PSP.

[... while currently in chapter 2 in 'Neverwinter Nights' for my laptop - and when I get back to the PS2 will be doing 'Digital Devil Saga 2' - and have 'Blivion' & 'Bioshock' waiting on the xbox 360.]

Plus doing the paperwork for the Sunday Agris live game - and refereeing my 12 text/response online games. [nods] Yeah, I am SUCH a gaming geek sometimes.

So how do you like your PSP? ;) The fact that it gets all the Final Fantasy games keeps making me look at it, and the few times I got to handle one in the office I liked it quite a bit.

I LIVE for my DS, and having one handheld console makes me leery to pick a second up, but the PSP would be awfully pretty to have and I like a lot of the games for it.

Mmm, gaming!

The only problem with the PSP is that there haven't been many good games made for it. FFI, FF Tactics [war of lions], Jewel Summoner, Popolocroix are IMO the good ones. The screen is lovely and picture quality is superb. Sound is good too. It's also fun to get a few UMD movies for it. [I got 'Big Trouble in Little China', 'Advent Children', the 'Cowboy Bebop' movie, the 2 Riddick flicks]

[To afford it, I did the 'jump thru hoops, visit web adsites and get the 'free PSP' - and it was a legitimate offer a couple years back. It just took careful record keeping.]

The thing I've worried about is it -seems- fragile. Now while I don't know about the front & screen, I have had the AWFUL experience of walking past an enthusiastic person in a dragon fursuit who - making a sudden, violent gesture - knocked my poor PSP out of my hand and a good 15 foot away, where it hit a tile floor.

Everything that could come loose, fell everywhere: back panel, game disc, little memory card, but ... in shock I gathered them up, put them all back together and found there was a permanent ding in one case corner, but everything fit - and -worked-! Still works, too. *Whew!*
