It's game-speech. Characters have statistics - [strength, intelligence and others] - that are given numbers to show if, for example, the strength is low, average or exceptional. During a game there are ways to increase the statistics, which is what had happened for Gilrandir, Trey's character.

My oversight was in not increasing both statistics when they both went up by '1'. Better?
