Stymied

Am stuck. In 'FF Ring of Fates' [DS] you need to find 2 beams to push and drain water during chapter 9 and I can only find one of them.

So ... after the 7 hour drive back home, and assuming my 1100 emails can download [dialup ... sigh], I'm going to start 'FFX' again. I don't know -why- that game has such a replay value for me [is still SUCH a pretty game], but it does ... and it always cheers me up.

Oh no, I'm sorry! I can't even remember that part or if I even got that far. :x

I... have never played FFX. I know, I'm such a bad person. I've been sort of looking for the FF games I missed or never finished (8, 9, X and X2) but so far there's been no sign of them in used places. And my PS2 is still sitting in a variety of pieces that will never be put back together again. ;)

I wish I had more time I was inclined to console game (today would have been a great day for it, hah), I'd buy a new (used) PS2 and start really hunting for games again. And maybe finish Okami.

The =first= 2 video games [played on something other than a computer] that I ever played were 'FFX' and 'Balder's Gate ... whatever - in 2-player mode]. A friend loaned us his PS2 and those 2 games to show us what console gaming was like.

VERY much a case of 'the first taste was free'. Fell in love with the games, went out, -bought- a PS2, those 2 games and began researching other games. [found I loved the Shin Megami Tensei series and the 1st 'Shadowhearts' game]

'FFX' IMO may be the perfect game for the mix of music plus pretty plus plot plus sidequests.

Since then, got a PS1 specifically to try FF7 [IMO the best ever plot for any game; okay sidequests]; an Xbox [for KotOR & 'Morrowind' - the 360, and various handhelds just because I really love the gaming [and can only referee tabletop games 1-2 times a week ^_^ ... plus ref online for a dozen games] Maybe that sounds kind of pathetic ... but as a 'trying to be a writer' person, I actually make a pittance at the online reffing ... and gaming has been SO much fun for the past few years [*coughs* since '73] that I guess I'm a wee bit fanatical on the subject. [smiles]
