Eyes are wonderful devices

Got my eyes dialated for the first time ever yesterday. Weird experience. Everything is fine with my eyes, BTW. Drove home - glad my sunglasses are already as dark as is possible to get them. That, plus the big floppy hat and a head scarf made the brightness bearable. Once home though, all I wanted to do was sleep - and I slept until 5pm[!]. Upon waking, eyes were back to normal - and the sleep had driven off the headache that had been threatening me.

You might want to check out a doctor who uses the Optomap technology instead...eliminates the need for dilation. Only drawback is that most insurance companies don't cover an Optomap exam and it costs about $40 per use, though the other nice part is that you only have to do it when your eyes show a significant change.

I went thru a complete eye check up - and was referred to the opthamologist by an optometrist this last check-up as a 'just in case', since one of my eyes had changed -just- enough to cause the optometrist concern. The opthamologist was the one who did my 1st-ever eye dilation. ^_^
