Paying the clumsy tax
Still very OW. Fell down half a short flight of stairs Wednesday night. Ouch. The plastic stairs tread that was -supposed- to prevent slippage, slipped. [Sighs.] I twisted my right ankle and wrenched my left knee [a pair of ouch, OW! sensations] as I tried to catch myself.
I also thwapped my left wrist and forearm against the rail in the 'attempt to catch self' - and I think I pulled muscles on my left side. These were lesser pains at the time and I did keep myself kind of on my feet and did not end up prone.
The ankle and knee are only mildly sore today, the left wrist/forearm have bruised - but the left side is giving me heck. It feels a little numb right over the left ribs and nothing feels broken there - but around there the muscles are just being a total pain. I swear I need to be wrapped in bubble wrap sometimes.
