The day was HOT

Awesome all-day party at Boojumbunn's today. He, Vrhgr and Shadowcatt_x made vast numbers of wonderful meats [about a dozen -different- smoked or flavored meats - chicken, pork, beef, a wonderful mild sausage], different other treats and had set up pavillions for much-needed shade - one with misters! Guess who stayed in wet shade. ^_^

Gil_liant and I brought soda, cherries and lots of salad. The feast was wonderful, as was the company [like his folks and Flare]. Of course, I managed to do a spectacular clumsiness activation while carrying out [yummy!] brownies, but while I will have some bruises, nothing strained or broke. [whew!] And did I mention the day was HOT?

Afterwards we headed home and played City of Heroes - spending time with them online - as we did both parts of the Positron task force. Pretty darned good day!

Was wonderful having you and Trey there! Hope you found the food yummy, and not too spicy. We had several "hot" spices in things, but the amount of coating to interior meat ratio we hoped would mute the effects somewhat.

Booj and Lynn spent all Monday packing up leftovers in wraps and plastic tubs and putting them in freezer for later. I brought some of the "candied salmon" back for crackers and fish. :)

Several of the "experimental" recipes really turned out well! I'll likely never buy "Mott's applesauce" again, after tasting that apple-pear sauce. And the carmalized apples, kicked up with rum, was such a wonderful dessert! Definitely going to be on my "make it again" list!
