Agris game this Sunday at 1pm [June 5]

Pretty much recovered from Baycon. Fun convention. Or at least, =I= had a good time, even with a questionable ankle and having to carry way too much stuff. The only bit I wished I'd been able to do was do party reviews, but there just wasn't the opportunity. [sighs] But I actually managed to go to the Dealer's room a couple times*, attend panels, visit some parties [but not nearly enough], have fun and still do shifts in the vault. Really good BASFA party, BTW.

*and Dealer's room was GREAT. Lots of wonderful stuff. Bought 2 really nifty poofy shirts [one purple and one a brocade marroon]; some books; a great scarf; some really FUN flashy drinking glasses [that will become gifts]; another hair dangly - and wanted to buy a LOT more!

But it was a full weekend - and commuting back and forth from home [to care for the urpy kitty & refuel her] just added a bit of stress. Or maybe the stress was from having to sleep with a pile of stuffies, since Trey stayed at the hotel [because of his foot] while I stayed home [as cat servant]. But it did work okay - even if the parking was awful.

Now if only the Warren would come back up things would be ... even better.

I missed seeing you, too! I saw Matt, once. Saw a few other folks - rarely. But my shifts should've let me see more folks I knew [they were good shifts = noon till 7 or 5 pm].

[sighs] So we'll just tru to do it again NEXT year and bump into each other then. [& BTW, as an aside to you own LJ, you are WAY far from being mundane. You are definately 'in the loop' for being a silly fan of all things peculiar!]

I don't know about mrbuttboy, but melchar and I are definitely living in 'cahoots' together. ;)

As far as us persuading you ... Hey! We see what we see and we say what we feel. Would you prefer an alternative? With us, what you hear is what is there (as best we can tell), not what is deceptive.

I won't say that there aren't bad folk in fandom, but the vast majority of fans are more open and enthusiastic about welcoming people with overlapping interests than most 'Danes. If you happen to have said overlapping interests, what's wrong with letting yourself be welcomed and enjoying the party?

Sounds like Baycon was its usual excellent event. *grins* Must have been a bit tough going through it with the painful foot though. Also sounds like you made some good 'hits' in the dealer's room. Those sorts of events (and Ren Faires, and street festivals, and all their other ilk) are always hard on Vargr's "plastic".

Vargr is getting a bit anxious about the Warren as well. Having chatted with Booj about it momentarily, things are not sounding real good on the "bouncenet" front. Sure hope they manage to get the files they moved brought back up again.

Speaking of 'events', I've just about "locked in" another vacation trip to San Jose area. At the moment, looks like Vargr will be traveling out that way late afternoon/evening on 24 Jun (Friday) and then returning home afternoon/evening of 5 July (Tuesday), giving two full weekends and the whole week in between. I know this is normally the time you and Trey head to S. CA for your own visits, but I suspect we'll still find time to cross paths at least once or twice while out there. *big grin* I know I'm looking forward to that.

Well -I- sure want to get together with you more than once or twice!

In fact, I'd like to get together with you LOTS - and I'm pretty sure that Trey does too. [The only problem is about our going 'down south' - the when and how long of it.]

But I'm sure that Trey & I will work out something. ^_^
