melcharSent in the first batch of new events staff to be added to the staff & events mailing list. Mentioned which ones needed extra mailing lists. Hope a snew social track mailing list can be created without problem. Based on how FVS used their mailing list the idea of DJs being able to message among themselves to stay informed just sounds like a good idea IMHO.
Been reading a lot of advice that there not be a lot of staff changeover from year to year in FC. It makes so much sense! Sure, there are areas that keep the same staff from year to year (like Gaming!) but a ton of people either switch jobs [which can be a good thing] or just leave and vanish. Based on some of what I've heard from year's past, the churn of personnel leads to people ending up clueless about what is supposed to be done = and this burns them out when they do something wrong so their impulse is to get away from FC since that was the source of their misery.
The reason given to make people change positions is to inspire new ideas, but it really seems to make the ideas drain away as volunteers stop volunteering.....
