The Prius continues to serve well. I am very fond of 'Comet the Wonder Car' - and will doubtless grow even fonder as gas prices continue to rise.

My brain is currently being distracted by 'Nocturne', a very addictive PS2 game that I've been playing for 2 weeks now. Am up to level 52 now - and about to go fight the last of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, before returning to the Amala labrinth & get chased around. I very much recommend this game

Plus there was a really good 'Casey & Andy' webcomic today = http://galactanet.com/comic/index.htm The comment at the end is right on target, too. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I am completely prone to the 'chocolate exception', but there HAVE been times that I have been tempted. ^_^

The Prius is awesome, isn't it? Have you applied to get your solo HOV stickers yet? That's making ME fonder as well...

We decided not to bother. Too much FasTrak hassle. We did get our City of San Jose parking permit.

I'm surprised, the process is not really THAT difficult (1 form for FasTrak and 1 for the DMV), and if you don't like paying the $40, you can always return the transponder unused for a full refund as soon as you receive it. Considering where you live, and the solo trips to Southern California, it would seem a small price to pay.

When we go to SoCal, there are two of us in the car. ^_^ If anything, it would be to help me with the morning commute and the evening commute.

We got to the point of printing out the FasTrak form. It looked like extra bureaucratic hassle of the type I don't choose to get voluntarily involved with. Melchar looked at the forms too, and seemed to reach the same conclusion. (Although, it must be admitted: her daily commute is much shorter than mine. ^_^)

Many people don't like the stickers anyway because it will ruin the paint job on their cars...at least if they put them in the "suggested" locations.

I chose to deal with the bureaucracy because during those times of year when I'm working extra hours at the theater, the evening commute home is hell, as is my commute when I have to go home from corporate first, then drive down again at 6:30 to evening rehearsals. It only took me about 15 minutes to put all the paperwork together, the fee is paid and I expect the stickers any day now. Certainly they were less complex than most tax forms, in any event, ;)
