Rush Limbaugh, dead at age 70

melcharRush Limbaugh is dead and most on the Right never knew that he played them.
Rush began his career with comedic radio. It was not until he moved to do radio in Sacramento, Calif that he changed his style, noticing that there was major political division in the state's politics - and that he could build a big audience by pandering to conservatives. In general, it was a lot like Stephen Colbert - only played completely seriously.
Rush contributed in a HUGE way to the divisive politics of red vs blue as a calculated effort, and until at -least- his early-60s would admit privately that he did this only on radio and did not actually believe the rhetoric he spouted over the air waves - and that he was amused that people believed the crap he said. If anything, IMO this makes what he did even WORSE.
