game ramblings

melcharDid errands yesterday, which included wandering around trying to find a copy of 'Popoplocroix' which had allegedly been released Oct 7. Tried Best Buy and they didn't have a clue about what I was talking about - and no info in their computers. Frys had the game title in their computer, no copies in stock & agreed that it came out last week and said they apparently had no plans to order it. EB Games had the game info in their system, with the info that the game release had been pushed back to Dec 7 - and that they plnanned to stock it. [sighs]
But EB will get my business. The clerk there was a fellow Final Fantasy freak and we found that we had both bought some of our game equipment specifically because of one or more Final Fantasy titles. He bought his GBA to play 'Final Fantasy Tactics' on it; both of us had bought multiple copies of 'FF7' [me = 3; he = 2] - and that both of us would buy the PS3 IF they redid FF7 for it. Plus we would by any re-issue of 'FF7' that was the same game but in a sturdier format [whether it was a port for the PSP, or in a DVD disc of the original game, just so it wouldn't wear out while being played.
We also traded opinions on 'Advent Children' [really neat]; that 'FFX' was possibly the prettiest game yet made and talked about other game likes. Very nice, actually.
He was amused that I had a PSP - but no games for it & recommended I get one of the used games. So I checked out what they had and bought a copy of 'Untold Legends'. Hope it's fun. ^_^
