Had a great Thanksgiving = good food & company. Lars' aunt was particularly nifty! And it even sprinkled a teensy bit late last night, then this morning.

Avoided doing any shopping today - or even going outside. Nice day! Spent 4 hours doing all my Xmas cards, so they can go out now. Will risk sending 2 without zip codes [since I don't have them]. I like sending out cards - and like getting them ready to send out. [smiles in relief]

Gaming neep - I'm a little annoyed with the end of FF7. Keep forgetting that point of no return in the crater - passed it - and finished the game without maxing out my materia. Sure, I could have just reloaded, but the end is a lot of fun too. Maybe later. So I started a new game of Shadowhearts instead.

No need for that:

My major problem with FFVII is the same with all the other FF's. The beginning scene says it all. It's a railroad from beginning to end. And it's occasionally a STOOOOOOOOOOPID railroad, such as how it's 5 days to the end of the world but you can spend literally hundreds of days raising chickens and running all over the world to collect additional Kewl Gadgets.

That said, it's still gorgeous in many ways and one of the few games to truly bring tears to my eyes (I had tears streaming down my face the first time I fought Jenova after Aerith died).

[nods] I don't know how they do it, but some of my games make me cry even on a 2nd play. I feel so silly - but still touched. And I would still willingly pay for a port of FF7 to the PSP to get choked up again. ^_^

Christmas cards ROCK! Especially when your first card of the year comes from a wonderful friend from school whom you've just gotten back in touch with! Wow, that was some really bad grammar! But I don't care! I love you!

[smiles and waves] I loves the bad grammer - but that's cuz I'm very fond of its author!

Hey there, apologies for hijacking your LJ but I couldn't find any other way to contact you quickly. :)

Just wanted to ask you if we can use one of the free hours on Friday in the Main Stage space formerly known as the Sublevel 3 concert to perhaps screen the FC05 DVD, or parts of it?

Am I too late to set up something like this? An hour would be plenty. I think it would help sales, and I know we discussed the possibility during one of the meetings, although nothing was ever really set in stone.

Drop me an email if this is feasible or not. :)
