Sitting here in the happy afterglow of a massage [purrrrrrrrs] - I find myself pondering parenthood. There are some folks I don't think should own a pet, much less have kids. But then there are people I know who would make marvellous parents and have all this problem actually spawning.

That's just not fair.

I mean, when someone actually -wants- to have kids, _and_ would make great parents, IMHO they should have perfect pregnancies and get to deliver the spawn;et without pain.

Of course when it comes to me, I plan to remain completely spawnless and just look approvingly on my chums who -do- procreate. ^_^

That's somethig I found odd but understand. Why do really smart and literate people not breed. Continue to spread knowledge and openness. Some of the people that breed only breed ignorance and hate.

I choose not to have a child because I dont wish to pass on my evil genetics of bad memory. Of course now that I think of it I have had lots of head trama. Scares to proove it. Clubed by 2x4 2 handed sword in the face, banging my head on door corners, falling out of trees landing on concrete, falling off slides, and the countless times smacking the back of my head on stair ways. Maybe its ont all genetic LOL

Well in my case, I remember in vivid detail exactly what sort of hell it was to be a kid. [in my case a smart kid who was mercilessly tormented because I was ... a bit odd.] I would not want to subject any spawn of my own to that sort of misery. Add to this that the 'modern' world has not become a kinder, gentler place in the interim.

And you never get over the torment

Sometimes I'll wake up at 3 in the morning and for some reason start obsessing on some slight from my school days, and actually get tears! Major suckage, that.

I loved the way you would sometimes tilt your head to one side....it shows in your school pictures. And I never would have listened to Benny Goodman if not for you.

[smiles] Ah yes, my 'what the heck is going on' expression. Thanks for remembering. And 'Sing, sing, sing' is still my favorite jazz piece. Yay Benny!

Now one of the things I remembered about -you- was that you actually seemed to like your family. This was astonishing to me at the time. [and I still only know less than a dozen chums that came from 'functional' families. Must've been nice.

And you had [may still have] a _killer_ laugh!
