Nice weekend, overall
May. 27th, 2014 04:22 pmSpent the weekend in indolent leisure, playing SWTOR, goofing around with gil_liant and having a lovely time. We saw the new 'X-men' movie and it ... was okay. I kinda wish we'd gone and seen 'Godzilla' again, or 'Winter Soldier' again, instead.
[The movie nostalgia factor was okay, surprisingly Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine was my favorite of the lot, altho Fassbender's Magneto was a close 2nd. However the movie pretty much hinges on ProfX and he was 100% unbelievably whiny. IMO Xavier has to be the guide and moral center for the various mutants - and makes him being an annoying prig in so many ways tolerable. Otherwise the only one making sense is Magneto. Having a whiny, do-nothing Xavier may be more 'interesting' as a character arc, but it's not Xmen.]
