Owie teeth stuff
Mar. 7th, 2006 04:18 pmWent to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned, then had the 1st part of a new crown done [grind, drill, sit with goop in mouth to make impression for permanent crown - 3 _different_ batches of goop:
temporary crown cap impression [goop = not to bad/set quickly];
permanent crown impression [goop tasted AWFUL and it took around 4 minutes to set!];
then lower teeth impression [goop not that bad and set quickly]
Just ... yuck. But the hygenist who did the cleaning was a kick. We comiserated about cats that go 'horf' all over the floor/etc. [And as she did the cleaning, she kept me giggling as she described angry kitties [hers & 2 from bf who just moved in] all cat-peeing everywhere the last 2 weeks as they establish territory - including her own kitty peeing in her _purse_ to express ... resentment.
Also, Dr. Vainer is the absolute BEST dentist - and he has such a good job using needle to hit nerve [for xylocaine] - and doing the grindy, difficult dentist work. He has great staff. So there is a LOT of good there. Now if only I didn't need the crowns. [expensive things]
So I'm sitting here with aching jaws [from being kept open so wide], a few sore bits where the needle went in and a very slightly sore tooth. Hope the temp stays in place for the next 2 weeks
