Getting Shiny

So Paul loaned me the 'Firefly' DVDs a couple months ago. I warned him that I am a flake and it would take a while for me to get around to watching them. [background = never saw the series, loved the movie, have seen 3 eps at FC 06 & enjoyed them]

Finally have watched them and -really- did enjoy them, watched the commentary tracks and wish all the eps had one. Pity it didn't make it. [but then, I never got into B5 until halfway thru the 2nd season - then -really- got into it, too.]

Got snagged on "Firefly" by the promos, but when I tuned in to the first episode, it was the second episode! "What? How did I miss the pilot?" (Turned out I didn't...thanks for finally airing it, FOX!) Tried to catch every episode that was broadcast, but it wasn't easy, and I missed a few. When my daughter, who worked at a video store, surprised me with "Guess what's coming out on DVD?" I was first in line!

[smiles] Well, having seen it, I have now ordered 'Firefly' on DVD. So the madness does spread. ^_^
