Managed to get the 'transcendant' victory for 'Alpha Centauri' last night [dierdre's faction]. Hurrah! I've managed a variety of victory conditions before, but this was a first for me. [Trey helped a lot by telling me that I needed to keep one of the other factions around in a non-allied form. In prior games I tend to either wipe them out, subjugate them or make alliances.]

So that was fun; now to try the game at a harder setting.
