Gack - and again I say Gack!
Jul. 6th, 2006 05:12 pmSpent the day doing phone-tag with repair-guys and getting visits.
OK - so after 2 weeks there is no hole in the roof, the fireplace is replaced and -today- they did the 'texturing' coat atop the 'mud' on the drywall. They still need to paint and re-tile, but that can wait until after we get back on the 15th.
Plus the PG&E guy came out, removed the lock on our meter so the electrician could get into it and [hopefully, theoretically] fix our problem. he says that there was corrosion present and he thinks the problem is now fixed. I -really- hope he is right. Having working electrical power is a VERY good thing.
Then, just for 'fun' my ISP stopped our service. I was suspecting this might happen since I had just replaced my credit card expiry date, so that took only an hour to fix.
It's been a heckuva day.
