Cough, cough, cough
Nov. 7th, 2007 05:28 pmFever broke = yay! It's turning into a chest cold = ick. Gil_Liant comments that this means I likely caught it from him. [it's what he had last week] Sigh. If it gets worse, I'll have to cancel the Saturday game.
OTOH, I got a copy of 'Neverwinter Nights' [diamond edition] and installed it on my laptop.. Never played it before. [Thanks for the recommendation KensterFox!] It looks good, tho I have the screen set at 1024 x 768 resolution and thus can actually -read- the print size thereby without a magnifying glass. Have started a rogue PC and am doing the tutorials.
And drinking a lot of tea.

Date: 2007-11-09 12:13 am (UTC)BG and BG2 were some of my absolute most favourite games of all-time on the PC, so I was hoping it might be along those lines. Does it work off 3rd ed, or 3.5? Icewind Dale 2 did and confused the snot out of me, as our gaming company still hasn't made the transition from second ed. ;)
Also, I hope you feel a lot better soon! My docs have me drinking peppermint tea a lot for any kind of chest cold, and it's amazing stuff, clears you up better than a shot of Buckley's.

Date: 2007-11-09 10:42 pm (UTC)The game system it uses is close enough to 3rd edition to be familiar and playing 'swap a class' gives some good versatility. [If you are a complete rules stickler, there are enough 'hey that's not 100% 3rd ed' to make them complain ... a lot. But I referee 2nd ed and 3.5 and it doesn't bug -me-.
[I started as rogue/human because 40 skill points are compelling & there are a lot of locks and traps; did another level of rogue, swapped to ranger, then to sorcerer ... so I could use all the toys.]
I also loved BG - and wish NWN let you have more than 1 hireling at a time. The hirelings are pretty amusing tho.
[nods and agrees about peppermint tea.] I'm drinking lots of that - with some double bergomot [sp?] thrown in for difference. Hot tea and honey is good for chest, coughing and sore, scratchy throat.
