Fever broke = yay! It's turning into a chest cold = ick. Gil_Liant comments that this means I likely caught it from him. [it's what he had last week] Sigh. If it gets worse, I'll have to cancel the Saturday game.

OTOH, I got a copy of 'Neverwinter Nights' [diamond edition] and installed it on my laptop.. Never played it before. [Thanks for the recommendation KensterFox!] It looks good, tho I have the screen set at 1024 x 768 resolution and thus can actually -read- the print size thereby without a magnifying glass. Have started a rogue PC and am doing the tutorials.

And drinking a lot of tea.

I have NWN also, and have never managed to finish the whole thing. Mostly that's because of the extremely annoying need to break EVERYTHING to get treasure. Every box, barrel and chest has something in it. Usually that something is total crap--a complete waste of my time. Unfortunately every now and then, there is something very nice in the chest. It happens often enough that I feel obligated to look, even though I know it'll most likely be useless. Now I know how pavlov's dogs feel.

My advice: ignore everything except the sturdy locked and trapped chests. And before you get into them, save the game. Then open them and if you don't get something super nice, keep reloading until you do. IMO, it takes the same amount of time as breaking every barrel, but you get better return for the investment.

You must have wild chest skills. I swear I keep finding only gold in chests, while boxes are the things I find healing potions inside of. [shakes head] I have not been overwhelmed at the random loot; but the game is fun.
