this is the kind of nightmares I have

So my subconscious was playing games last night. I have action/adventure dreams with decent plots, full color, dolby sound, PG rated [for violence] - and usually quite clever.

Last night was different. THIS dream was a very bad experience - and I knew going into watching it that it would be awful. And it was. It was like a -real- bad made-for-TV movie on the SciFi channel. The plot was 'mid-life-crisis yuppie career types go back to their high school reunion, only to learn that they are [grey] alien hybrids that are now going to have their human experiences downloaded - so they can fully become aliens and go home'. And it was done as a musical.

It ... was ... so ... bad. [and had commercials]

Oh my! This wuffy is still laughing at that! (As a musical!?!)

PLEASE make sure SciFi channel gets no word of this, or it will be out as a mini-series by next year! (especially with the writer's strike!)

[nods!] THAT'S what made it so bad - that these whiny yuppies would be going thru some scene about their career or new BMW and suddenly burst into song. One was called 'soul of the consumer' [actually that one was kind of funny, since it was about out of control spending].

And to think my brain did THIS to me!

That's not too bad. If it had been a 'Buffy' quality, then I wouldn't have been desperate to wake up; but it was ... just bad.

[one repeated lyric was 'grey, grey, soon we will be flying far away, way' - ack! trying to scour out memories of songs!]
