Sunday ... counting down to FC

Got a chance to play Ardineniel in Tom's game today. Made all her saving throws, didn't get eaten by the undead, did well with bowfire; had fun. All in all had a good time.

Also trying to stay healthy for Further Confusion. I do -not- need to be vice-chair AND get sick. Am also thinking *positive* thoughts about 'no rain during the convention' so Bos'n can do the outdoor decorating - and so we can do 'Desserts to Die For' outside.

I'm deciding what to pack - and need to be at the hotel early for a mandatory meeting with hotel folk [while dragging my luggage around from 10am-ish till check-in]. This has convinced me to NOT bring the white mage costume, since that would require an extra bag. I -think- bringing 2 bags will work, but it'll be hard to stuff 4 full days of gear in only 2 bags as it is.

And why oh why did I give up my nice comfy room at the doubletree for one at the Motel 6, a possible walk in the rain in the dark every night? Sigh.

Hey, I have to drive home every night. Don't want to hear it.
And it currently isn't planning to rain - she says knocking on wood.

[sighs] I wish I could drive home every night = all of 10 minutes away [and so much more comfy and cheaper].

But the top 5 execs for FC are required to stay on-site. [grumbles just a bitsy bit]

You know you could give your bags to hotel bellpeople, they will hold them for you until check in. They'll even drag them up to your room once you check in. All this (holding and hauling) for the same tip you would give them for just hauling them up to the room ($1 a bag). Really. Doubletree pays them for this.
