It's only in the warm-up for hades right now [80s going to 90s later today] - before it gets to prime time hell tomorrow [100+]. Have done laundry, house work & am cooking [so as to have lots of left-overs for the latter part of the week]. Uck.

I really, truly hate hot weather.

Don't you have a perfectly functioning air conditioner? I know I haven't visited you in quite some time but I seem to remember having to wear a blanket on the sofa in the direct cold-blast area while you rested comfortably cool in the chair at the bottom of the stairs...

If that's changed, keep lots of water in your fridge and keep the ice trays filled.

She really doesn't like the heat -- but apparently not enough to run the A/C in mid-May -- even though she is roasting.

(Apparently our A/C is time-based, rather than temperature-based, and may only be run from late-June through late September, when it is 'officially' Summer. ^_^)

Mostly, what she is, is 'venting' -- apparently this is another way to stay cool. ^_^

Hmmph - as if. I've had the AC on already this year. In bleeding -winter-!

In an effort to conserve energy, I would rather not turn the AC on until the interior temperature is about 87 degrees. Clothing and regular fans can offset warmth - and then there's the AC for hot.

Point #2 is that the AC only cools the downstairs - and I was doing laundry and cooking upstairs - where it was even warmer, but where the coolth would not affect.

I totally did that this morning. The crock pot dinner finished up a few hours ago and clothes are drying on the line! Brilliant ideas, great minds think alike :>

[nods; yes you also have spicy brains of smartness ^_^] left-overs for when it gets even more hellish - and the majority of electric-use done now [so only the AC will be used tomorrow/Friday].

I have to say, hot weather is nice when you're workin in the city.

75 degrees right now, sunny. Just ate my lunch down by the Bay, watched lots of cute girls walk by...

But then I get home in Santa Clara... and I remember I'm exactly like you. Hot weather... sucks.
