Had a great birthday weekend. My sweetsie took me out for lobster and I loved it. Was able to play Dragonstorm Friday [FUN game - lots of zombies - thanks boojum!] - then reffed my game Saturday and played in Tom's game Sunday, so there was much fun for my bday weekend.

On the annoying side, I picked up a head cold that hit Sunday. I -do- wonder if I helped it along with my 'dance of the pollens' on Thursday, but am all sniffly and achy now. That means no BASFA tonight.

...and 'Star Ocean' needs a LOT more save points. 2 hours between saves points when there are -3- boss fights is is way rough. I'm glad my guys survived, but the last boss fight was tough!

OH Noze! Both you and Glenn are out tonight. Who is going to do Minutes?
Don't look at me, I can't knit and take notes at the same time. :P

Some poor unlucky person will walk in - all happy - and then WHAM! ... doing minutes because they have a pen! ^_^

As far as colds go, it's not as bad as it could be. it's just annoying, fatiguing and really messing with my senses of smell and taste. Plus, when I lie down I'm coughing more than sleeping.

But if you can spare the energy, I will gladly accept any help to get better faster. [hugs!]

Which Star Ocean?

'Star Ocean 3 - till the end of time'

I love the characters, but man I would've been super ticked off if I'd died after going thru the mines [for copper], fought a lot of trees and flying dragons, then minor boss fight and bigger boss fight [against soldiers and then dragons and soldiers - back to back] - followed by a big boss fight against Albel Nox. Man = the game needs save points.

There IS a save point before you get to Albel, it's hidden in the rail station as I recall.

Oddly, I found Albel to be a total wuss compared to some of the prior battles. I whipped his angsting little bishonen ass fast the first time through.

SO3 is one of my top 3 or 4 CRPGs of all time. There's a LOT more of it ahead of you, if you've only gotten that far. "There's more where that came from. LOTS more!" :)

There's a rest up spot in the smithy [the guard on the left by the rails] - but no save point. The Albel fight was rough, just because it had been so long since I saved and I was stressing. I did end up beating his 2-toned head in, but I didn't get a lot of chance to savor it. ^_^

I've just gone thru the war - and WOW - the story has ramped up about 3 notches, Maria is neat - and I sympathize for the kingdom of Aquaria. All in all, I think Fayt's taking this rather well [and I like Cliff even more].
