So the Reno trip was great! the drive back was almost without traffic [ysy!] and no actual instances where I had to drive slower than 40 mph. BIG win. The company was delightful - and gil_liant helped me feel happy/special. And I only lost half of the cash I had saved for the trip. [I count this as a win: I never go to Reno expecting to win.]

Then - during the trip I learned that FF7 has been released to the PSP and PS3 for download only. Boojumbunn had dl'd it during the trip - and played some of it on the drive back. I flip out slightly. ^_^ [Is just about my fave game of all time.] But ... my PSP was made before they offered wireless. So now my raccoon brain is thinking of ways to get the game. Maybe I can get a new [at least 4 gig] memory stick and ask boojumbunn to dl the game for me ... and hope it plays on my older system. Or I can get a new PSP, a 4 gig+ memory stick for it and dl it myself - then give the other PSP to gil_liant. [Yes, I am a silly thing.]

Hahaha weeeeeell before you go grabbing anything... I didn't respond right away 'cause I wanted to see if it was possible. BUT.

I have a spare 2GB memory stick and am downloading it now, I can happily mail it to you. :) I wanted to see if I had to re-pay for it first or not and the answer was not! If you don't mind a used stick (it's fine, formatted and everything) then I'd be happy to send it your way!

Final 7 is joy joy joy.

If you're gonna get another PSP, wait for the GO imo -- it may be a bit more but well, bigger battery life + stronger system + wifi + better graphics capabilities are pretty hot. :D I'm very tempted to sell mine (once I finish FF7!) and sit on the funds until the Go is released, in fact...

That would be super wonderful. As long as it works, a used stick is just as good IMO as any other. If you'd do that I would be SO very happy [imagine me poing-ing around the room like a crazed jumping bean; scaring the cat]!

And what good thing can I do in turn for you? Looking for any Webkinz? ^_^

I'll mail it off tomorrow if I can get to the post office early enough!

Haha, pay it forward! I just hope it works, I had to update my firmware before having access to the Playstation Store. You can do an update via cable + computer I believe, but it'd be really nice if you could just pop it in and play. :)

OK - I'll look for it - and hope it plays. Crossing fingers = and thanks a ton!

Got the card [and was recognized as existing on my PSP] - and now I need the 5.50 PSP update to run the game. My chum boojum_bunn thinks he can install this on my PSP this Friday - so I await with bait on breath.

Heh heh - neither he nor his SO have been playing CoH because both are playing FF7 right now on the PS3!

Thank you SO much!

I'm so glad it got there! I'm sorry about the upgrade, urf, I wanted to download that too but because I'd already upgraded it wouldn't let me get it again.

Good luck, I hope this works out for you :D

Hahaha, it's bad, they keep putting good stuff like Castlevania and Metal Gear up! But it has me playing my PSP again...

I connected mine directly via USB cable and it downloaded straight onto my card in the unit. ^^ YAY SEVEN!

Like I said - my PSP is from the land before time ... er ... the time before Sony let the PSP have connectivity. No wireless; no USB connector. Kind of limited - but it -is- still a lovely little thing.

It didn't even have computer connectivity? o.O

Nope - it has connections for power, but that's it. I can well see why it was changed for the models that followed.
