UK *help needed for a friend*

My friend cherylmmorgan is in trouble. She is a UK citizen - and unexpectedly is in the UK without anywhere to live. She is a really nice person, a fan of sf, fantasy, writing - is a Hugo winning semi-pro-zine author herself. She likes cats and doesn't have any pet allergy I'm aware of.

She travelled to the US expecting to stay here for a while. Due to some stupid paperwork snafu on the US side, she was deported yesterday from the US when she showed up at SFO [San Francisco airport]. She has a few days of housing in the UK but needs help ASAP.

If you are in the UK and have a room to rent or know of someone who might, please let her know. Or let me know and I'll pass it along to her. At this point, even a week or two of housing would be helpful and give her a chance to get a place of her own again.

It might be worth narrowing the call-out slightly, to locations of interest. I'm fairly sure an offer of crash space in Penzance or Glasgow, whilst appreciated, wouldn't be of much use.
