Happier now

Spent 3 hours in the Kaiser emergency room yesterday. Gil_liant was in pain that greatly increased - he believed it to be from a kidney stone. Took him in at 6pm, got processed and him set up for a CAT scan but right before then, he goes to the bathroom with 'the strainer' and passes a stone. A very large stone [the doctor said it was the size of 3 grains of rice ... and was very impressed]. So with that out & most of the pain now gone, it was decided that the CAT scan was not needed - and we were out of there by 9pm. Stressful? You betcha. I'm glad the problem ... passed.

Kidney stones hurt worse than a c-section, but once thry're out, they're out, thank goodness.

I have great sympathy for anyone who's been through one. Owie.

This is the 3rd time he's been thru that. [Last time was about 10 years ago]. This was probably the best of the 3 experiences - and I'm VERY glad the stone popped out when it did. [whew]
