I wish to register a complaint! To whit = it's freaking hot. It went straight from winter to summer and it's 91 degrees out there right now.

On a positive side, I finally saw 'The Chronicles of Riddick' [on DVD] and it was better than I was led to believe. You are SO right, Tiffy! It IS 'MacBeth' with cute guys! It's a bit overly-ambitious, a lot more fantasy than sf and [again] there are mammoth plot holes, but it was fun to watch.

Now, must make effort not to melt - and hope the Giants don't blow their 8th inning lead ^_^

I'd love to live in Seattle - but the problem would be making all my chums move up there too - plus getting Lockheed to relocate there. Until -that- happens, guess I'll be staying here. ^_^

That's why we have air conditioning. Though my husband is doing a lot of things outside these days, so he works in the am, then comes in out of the heat, and goes back out later afternoon.

Until we had the power failure this afternoon. Daddy was not happy without his a/c.

Glad you agree with me. The parallels were too uncanny for me to deal with. And while I agree with Kimmy that Vin Diesel is teh Sex, Carl Urban REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY does it for me. RAR!

I liked it a lot. It was no Pitch Black, and I saw the ending coming from a mile away (***SPOILER ALERT*** They gave him an army!!!) it was fun and pretty and that was all I wanted out of it.

[nods!] Good ending, but the 'you keep what you kill' rationale made it predictable. It did -not- however, make the ending any less good, IMHO.

And yes, I totally agree about comparitive cute. Vin is way cool [and a gamer!], but for [im]pure thoughts, Karl Urban does it for me!
