May. 29th, 2007 01:35 pmWell, had fun at Baycon [because I enjoy being a barnacle and watching the convention wash through the fanzine lounge]. However, I would have -far- preferred going to Baycon without suffering from weird dizzy spells. [grins] The dizziness certainly helped me want to stay in one place, though.
Also played lots of [sid meyer's] Alpha Centauri during the weekend, when the lounge was quiet. It's still a great game.
Now if only the hotel food at the Marriott had been half that good. [shudders] The only decent meal I had there was from room service, Sunday [an omlet] - and that was quite good, with faster service than I experienced being in their restaurant. Yeesh! ...had I only known this on Friday. ^_^
But all in all, even with the move to San Mateo, Baycon was worth suffering dizzy spells for, this year.

Date: 2007-05-30 08:46 pm (UTC)I'm glad you enjoyed the lounge. I certainly enjoyed 99% of the folks who came in and I tried to make the place a clean, well-lighted place for readers and good conversation. ^_^
[and I also hope the dizziness goes away.]
