A good weekend - and a nice Monday

A good weekend for the table games.
The Saturday AD&D Gaea game saw the group head out into the wilderness, possibly turn a band of bugbears from a life of brigandage [and inspire them to try being caravan guards]. They also learned from the bugbears that the 'bakery ghost' is quite probably an Elder Wyrm. They made good road-travel time and mostly stayed on the road [which has a glamour on it to protect travellers from non-sentient beast attacks] - although they did go off-road to attack a foursome of chemosits that were eating an elk. [chemosits for Gaea are 6-legged carnivores that look like horse-sized anteaters with foot-long razor-sharp claws.]
Then on Sunday the Agris gamers continued travelling through the realm of Faerie, discovered a mouse carnival, had a chance to do some trading, one of the PCs made a social gaffe [which was rather fun] - and they ended up getting a bit lost. They did find a way out of Faerie, learning that it was now spring. [They missed late fall and all of winter, but were also about 1200 miles from where they'd entered that 'morning'.]
And today is a nice mellow day - and Trey/mine 21st wedding anniversary. Rawr!

Date: 2007-06-12 12:24 am (UTC)Sounds like quite the fun gaming weekend! Got a lot done here this weekend, but wasn't quite as fun as yours.
Saturday here was "IT Person" development for the new job. Have been going through all the vendors sites, etc., trying to figure out what it will take to set up the initial business Info Tech side of the house (LAN, website, telecommuting and collaboration capability, etc). Hopefully I'll come up with a price list breakdown, justification, and some option sets by this Saturday's board meeting.
Sunday was "Yard Day". I managed to destroy a weedwacker thinning down the jungle in the back yard, finished mowing the front yard, did some gardening, and then went on a 'net search for replacement weedwackers. Oh yes, as a reward for all that, I treated myself to a late lunch at our Empire Asian Buffet: Sunday is "Seafood day" there. Peal and eat shrimp, lobster rolls, crab legs, oysters on the half shell, breaded and fried frog legs, and all manner of other nummy goodness. I generally turn the place into the worlds largest "appetiser tray" when I go, taking just a little nibble or bite of all kinds of things. For $13 dollars (including drink), I can't beat it for satisfying the "odd-ball seafood" urges.
Today, I picked up the weedwacker model I'd searched out on the 'net at Home Depot; this Cub Cadet 4cycle gas version ought to do a much better job than the el-cheapo electic one I destroyed. It also accepts "change out attachements" so I got a brush chopper and a blower head for it, as well as the line trimmer it came with. I expect to try it out some tomorrow, weather permitting.

As was said yesterday, '21? Now your anniversary is old enough to drink'
